The Wolf
Every time the pack structure changes (somebody leaves or returns), the wolves will use behaviour patterns to establish their position within this “new” pack. They may try to gain height domination by jumping up, prove strength by ‘leaning’ or may even fight. The Alpha pair will have their personal space respected and be left alone, unless there is a challenge to their leadership. When the Alpha wants to interact with a pack member, they will attract them by establishing eye contact, the pack member will always move to the Alpha (movement creates submission).

Why You Do It
Your dog will respect your personal space, will stop jumping up and will come to you when asked.
