Sit and Recall

Ensure each step can be completed successfully several times before moving on to the next stage.

Ask your dog to ‘sit’ do this by drawing a food reward up over his head, as his head tips back he will automatically sit. When he does reward and praise him.
When he is sitting take a step away and ask him to ‘come’, hold out a food reward. When he comes to you reward and praise him.
Gradually increase the distance you move away from him before asking him to come.
If he comes before you ask, don’t give him a reward and simply begin again from step one.
